Volunteering

I would like to coach.

Volunteering your time to coach our youth is a big help to our town’s youth.  All head coaching positions are up every year for interviewing.  If you are interested in being a head coach or an assistant coach please send an email to the Coaching Coordinator via our DIRECTORS page.

Please check below for some of the important requirements.

Checklist for coaching:

  1. Rutgers or NYSCA certification (Rutgers is a one time class and NYSCA must be renewed online)
  2. CDC Concussion Certificate with your name on it.
(A quick note on the CDC Concussion Certification – once you finish the video and questions you must print or take a picture of the certification with your name on it or it is not valid.  Some people had problems printing it with their name on the certification.  If this is the case for you then simply take a photo of the certification with your name on it.  Once you close it the certification is lost forever until you redo the whole video and questions again!)
  3. Coaches Code of Conduct (Given to coaches by the Coaching Coordinator)

I would like to volunteer to do other things besides coaching.

MOJMFA is always looking for volunteers during the season for concessions, holding the first down marker and chain gang during games, announcers, filming and any other positions that will help the kids.  Please attend the meetings which are held on the first Thursday of every month.  We are always looking for volunteers for committees and such.
