Levels of Play

Playing football for the Mount Olive Junior Marauders should be an enjoyable experience for your child.  There are different levels of play for your child.

6 to 7 years old/1st & 2nd Grade – Flag

Introducing kids to the game of football. College themed. There is an emphasis on all the kids playing and trying different positions.  This is non-competitive and a totally fun experience. End season with our annual flag bowl games.

8 years old/3rd Grade – Pre Clinic

This is the first year of contact football in our league.  This is an instructional level and the emphasis should be on equal playing time and playing in different positions where possible.

9 years old/4th Grade – Clinic

This is the second year of contact football in our league.  This is an instructional level and the emphasis should be on equal playing time and playing in different positions where possible.

10 years old/5th Grade – Super Peewee

This is the first year with some exceptions.  If the Super Peewee team participates in the Central Conference League then there will be a more competitive atmosphere during the games on Saturday.  The players who didn’t play as much on Saturday will play on Monday night in the Central Conference games.  If Super Peewee doesn’t participate in the Central Conference League then there will be an emphasis on players getting close to equal playing time on Saturday.

11 years old/6th Grade – Peewee

This is a competitive level.  The coaches will play the players that will best give the team a chance to win.  Players that do not play or don’t get a lot of playing time will play on Monday night in the Central Conference League.

12 years old/7th Grade – Junior Varsity

This is a competitive level.  The coaches will play the players that will best give the team a chance to win.  Players that do not play or don’t get a lot of playing time will play on Monday night in the Central Conference League.

13 years old/8th Grade – Varsity

This is a competitive level.  The coaches will play the players that will best give the team a chance to win.  Players that do not play or don’t get a lot of playing time will play on Monday night in the Central Conference League.
